At last year's SIBOS conference, three major financial institutions, Deutsche Bank included, announced plans to apply similar principles for a bilateral clearing in SEPA.

Bilateral clearing is not about forming a new payments committee or forum, but suggesting a means for an efficient direct mass payments clearing mechanism between banks. 

In the spirit of moving the market forward, your opinion is valuable for the future of bilateral clearing. Specific and personal feedback will be kept confidential by Deutsche Bank, however the general outcome will be shared among the participants. 

It is our intention to continue publishing and exchanging opinions on these similar principles for bilateral clearing either through our website or through direct communication with other like-minded financial institutions.
